Key Insights on Top Websites in the United States in May 2026
The most visited websites in the the United States remain highly stable at the top in May 2026. Google ranks first with 24.3B visits, followed by YouTube with 9.5B and Reddit with 2.5B. The top three positions do not change from April. Google also widens its lead: it has 14.8B more visits than YouTube, making the top spot far larger than the rest of the ranking.
The most meaningful movements happen below the leaders. Intuit.com records the sharpest fall, dropping from No. 54 to No. 110 as visits decline by 72.8M, or 53.4%. Instructure.com also falls notably, moving from No. 26 to No. 41 after losing 92.0M visits. On the growth side, Comix.to stands out most, climbing 28 places to No. 72 and increasing visits by 32.5M, the largest rank jump in the dataset.
Traffic remains heavily concentrated among a small group of sites. The top 10 most popular websites in the the United States generate 68.4% of all visits in the top 150, while the top three alone account for 54.6%. This means most sites in the ranking compete for a relatively small share of total traffic. The gap after YouTube is especially large: YouTube has 7.0B more visits than Reddit, even though they are only one rank apart.
A notable shift appears around the edge of the top 50. WhatsApp.com, FedEx.com, and Quora.com all enter that range, each landing near 160M visits. At the same time, Office.com, Zoom.us, and Duosecurity.com fall out of the top 50. This shows that the upper-middle part of the ranking is much more fluid than the top 10.
